Senior Engineer

Our client is specialist sub-contractor with a longstanding commitment to excellence and innovation, working with their partners/clients to maintain and protect the nations’ heritage.

They provide specialist services in all areas of structural steelwork engineering within the built environment. This includes the refurbishment of steel bridges, ancillary structures, structural welding and fabrication and erection of miscellaneous metal work to heavy steel structures.  They are experts in bridge refurbishment and heat straightening, retro fitting, bridge strengthening, and sympathetic repairs to heritage listed structures.

They are looking to recruit a Senior Engineer/Section Engineer. Kent supporting their National Infrastructure business unit that delivers multiple projects ranging in value up to £5m.

The successful candidate should be someone who is able to work in a challenging but stimulating environment and have:

• Degree\HND in Civil Engineering
• At least 5 years proven/sound experience in a Civil Engineering position
• Resides within reasonable travel distance from the Erith office (< 60min commute )
• Flexible (willing to work away from home periodically)
• Ability to plan, track and report progress of works
• Well defined oral and written communication skills
• Self-driven – ability to manage own time across multiple projects
• Valid white CSCS card and SMSTS certificate
• Competent on Auto-Cad
• Experience working with steel structures and working within a subcontractor environment

Experience working on Railways (Network Rail) and PTS Card is desirable.
