Mission and Main Objectives:
This role will work within our clients Supply Chain Management and Logistics team, working in the automotive sector. The main day-to-day tasks vary, mainly involving the liaising with customers and suppliers over issues including, new part introduction, design change management and supporting non-conformance management.
The role involves a high degree of customer and supplier liaison, as well as including the recording, management and reporting of quality control data; thereby requiring good communication, coordination and excellent customer service skills.
Outline and Responsibilities:
- Management of non – conforming product from containment action through to NCR report management and OK part introduction.
- Management of customer warranty process.
- Support the management of new part introduction process through our clients and customer systems.
- Support the management of design change process through our clients and customer systems
- Support the management of IMDS / REACh data
- Development of suppliers including conducting supplier audits
- Assisting in maintenance of our clients ISO 9001 system.
Experience and attributes:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in high volume manufacturing in a quality role, or relevant degree in a quality related subject.
- Experience in new part introduction and design change control
- Experience in formal NCR report methodologies i.e. 8D
- Experience of working to ISO 9001
- Understanding of part warranty process
- Experience in supplier management
- Experience in auditing would be preferential
- Good problem solving skills and an ability to prioritise tasks
- Ability to work with limited supervision and using own initiative to complete tasks
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, dealing with people from different functional areas and cultures
- Flexible and adaptable, able to work to tight deadlines
