Duration: July 2024 to December 2025

Language Requirements: Proficient in English, verbal and in writing.

Hours to be spent on project – on-site and in total: 3300 hours

Work location availability: Work onsite 100% of time

 

Service

The Project Manager will lead a critical workstream focused on implementing necessary adjustments in the facility to accommodate new equipment. They will play a pivotal role in the seamless execution of the project from onboarding in July 2024 until its completion in December 2025.

 

Key Responsibilities:

             Partly responsible for managing the constraints of projects, including cost, time, scope and quality of outcome.

             Manages project team members in a medium-scale project.

             Takes part in ensuring the Project complies with standards, policies as well as applicable law and Health & Safety procedures and mindset.

             Develop, align and execute detailed covering scope, schedule, cost, re-sources and risk to deliver the success criteria

             Working with Procurement, develop, align and execute detailed sourcing strategies

             Manage funding process, cash flows and changes through proper change management processes

             Manage communication amongst the project team and key stakeholders, providing regular project updates to Senior Project Manager

             Support Operations through project Commissioning / Start-up

             Manage project Close-out ensuring deliver of full project documentation package

             Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive plan for the adjustment of factory equipment, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.

             Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements within the workstream, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

             Set-up requirements for equipment/installations, review them with site key personnel + vendors, iterate and ensure that the contracts are in place in a timely way.

 

 

Qualifications:

             Bachelors’ degree in Engineering (or related field) and minimum 5 years of related work experience.

             Project Management experience: Proven track record in leading complex projects, preferably in dairy manufacturing or industrial settings, with a focus on equipment adjustments.

             Strong CAPEX Project Management skills (Budget, Cash Flow, Schedule, Resource and Scope Management / Delegation)

             Demonstrated capability to manage medium sized CAPEX projects in at least one of the following industries: Food, FMCG or Pharmaceutical

             Good understanding of CAPEX procurement practices and contract negotiation

             Pragmatic Problem-Solving: Adopt a pragmatic approach to address challenges and unforeseen issues that may arise during the adjustment pro-cess, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption to operations.

             Team Collaboration: Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

             Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and unforeseen challenges, ensuring the project stays on course.

 

             Time Management: Excellent time management skills, capable of meeting project deadlines and milestones.
