Process Operator

Grade 2

4 on (2 days 2 nights) then 4 off repeated 3 times then a 10-day break – salary is 24,907.38 plus shift £6,946.32 this shift pattern has Annualised Hours to pay back throughout the year and will be pro rata for the rest of the year

To work as a Grade 2 Operator within a team of Process Operators in a Chemical Manufacturing Plant to safely achieve defined quality standards, within time and to customers specifications.

To effectively carry out the roles and responsibilities of a Process Operator. This includes Routine Operations, Complete Mandatory Training, Operating Process Equipment and Machinery to be an active part of the production team.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Production Management

Carry out operator tasks and duties as and when required including safe operation of all process plant equipment

Following batch cards ensuring that each sequential step is completed, all data is accurately documented and periodically review completed data entries.

Correctly identify, monitor, and charge raw materials.

Understanding of BMS Risk Assessments & Method Statements

Operate Process and Manufacturing Equipment to ensure production of batches are produced safely and in a timely manner

Discharging and packing of Final product (Hazardous and Non-Hazardous) in accordance with instructions/Batch card requirements

Assist in the training of Apprentice, TPO and Grade 3 Operators.

Adhering to all Policies, Procedures and Legal Legislations

SHEQ Management

Ensure that all Environment, Health & Safety requirements are met including (but not limited to) Workplace Organisation Site Procedures and Policies, Work Instructions, Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), High Housekeeping Standards, Risk/COSHH Assessments and Operating within the Process, HSE, and Legal requirements.

Compliant to all SHEQ Policies and Schedules (Housekeeping, Safety Audits etc.)

Equipment Management

Carry out operator tasks and duties as and when required including safe operation of all process plant equipment.

Team Building & Incentive

Undertake any other duties of which the responsibility, skill and experience required fall within the Trainee Process Operator competence and capability

Communication

Communicate and coordinated with production related departments

Previous experience handling hazardous chemicals is essential

To demonstrate effective Communication (Listening and Speaking)

Follow Corp. TSP regulations to maintain confidential on sensitive information

Work Experience

Minimum of 2 years’ Experience in manual or semi-automated process operations in Chemical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Heavy Engineering Industries

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
