Our client is a dynamic and vibrant company operating from premises in Rugeley, Staffordshire in the heart of the Midlands. With established resources and expertise they take on scaffolding projects anywhere in the UK and cover various sectors. The Company is one of a small number of scaffolding companies in the UK that hold an ancillary asbestos licence since 2011 and has seen sustained growth in this sector through close working relationships with their long-standing customers and the development of new business based on their reputation for a cost effective, efficient and a reliable service.

They are seeking an experienced full time Operations Manager with a proven track record who ideally has operated within their sector. This position will be tasked with ensuring all day-to-day operations observe best practice and all works are efficiently undertaken. Reporting to their Managing Director the role will encompass the following responsibilities:-

  •        Ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate cost-effective manner.
  •       Ensure compliance with management systems, processes and best practices.
  •        Perform quality controls and monitor production.
  •        Discuss SSoW, resource requirements to ensure efficient operation of projects.
  •        Review and compile RAMS for sites and complete job files ready for site activities.
  •        Organising all scaffolding requests and activities for sites.
  •        Organise material requests, deliveries/collections from sites.
  •       Recruit personnel.
  •        Review team training and ensure compliance with site, company and current H&S legislation.
  •        Manage vehicle compliance.
  •        Assist with valuing booked working and wages.
  •        Team management and assist with HR compliance.
  •        Ability to implement new systems and ways of working to improve overall efficiency and also to consider software implementation to support operational functions.

Key Criteria:-

  •       Full driving licence
  •       Minimum 5 years experience in role
