Responsibilities:
In line with the continuing growth of our business in the UK and internationally, we now wish to appoint an ambitious and dynamic Associate Design Manager to join the Critical Systems team in our central London office (St Paul’s) to manage construction design projects in the UK and overseas, some of which include hyper-scale data centres for a number of high-profile clients.
The Associate Design Manager role gives many opportunities to develop your career further in a growing industry in the market with our client. As a Partnership there are a lot of opportunities for both autonomy and to have an impact on both the leadership and direction of the Critical Systems business unit and the Firm.
You will be responsible for the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary projects. This involves managing the design teams, acting as the point of contact for all parties involved in the project (e.g. client, contractors, sub-consultants), and ensuring communication and project collaboration between the various channels is managed effectively.
This is a role which is central to the project success with a stimulating level of exposure to the wider project teams and stakeholders. It’s a challenging opportunity with great potential to develop your career and expand experience in the sector.
You will manage and lead the design delivery, submissions, risk management, planning and progress monitoring whilst also ensuring the client objectives are understood and met. You will also be responsible for the management and control of all design management tools used on the projects such as programmes, schedules and trackers of client requirements and comments, multidisciplinary design meeting trackers, outstanding actions trackers, deliverable schedules, project filing systems and protocols, change control tools etc.
You will control the project team and assure the project delivery meets the assumed targets and commercial objectives and supervise and mentor other more junior members of the Design Management stream in their development to do the same.
